Thumbs up Bluetooth - Parrot MKi9200

We recently had a Parrot MKi9200 Bluetooth unit installed in our HHR. If you are looking for an all-in-one unit that does:
- the bluetooth thing with your phone for hands-free phoning,
- interfacing with your iPod,
- playing your mp3 player via the earphone jack, or
- playing mp3s from an SD card or USB memory stick
check out this link:
http://www.parrot.com/usa/products/b...-free-car-kits

I watched the installer do the installation using a quick connect wiring harness adapter - turns out it wasn't that complex an installation, and it fired up correctly the first time.

We had the lcd screen installed beside the drivers front pillar on the dash, the mic at the top of the pillar, and the remote control unit on the dash.

We have found it quite impressive and versatile. It was a snap to pair up with our three phones, but does take a bit of experimentation and reading of the manual to figure out all the features.

So far we are pretty wowed by it.

(Disclaimer: I am not affiliated with Parrot - this is just a review as a consumer, not a product endorsement)

Parrot Installation Pics

Here you go - the lcd screen is double-faced tape to the top of the dash at the bottom of the drivers pillar,
with the twin mic temporarily attached to the top of the pillar (once we get the windshield replaced,
the mic will be relocated to the top of the inside mirror) -

And here is the Remote control unit - also double-faced taped - it disconnects easily if desired -

The Parrot control and interface box is tucked down inside the center console,
and the cable for attaching an ipod/mp3/usb memory stick is inside the storage bin on the top of the dash.
It was very easy to remove the bin to drill holes in it to route the cables up into it.

Hope that helps.

Cheers

Although I see that long ago on this issue , could you tell me that you used adapter cable . I have the model with amplifier and subwoofer not get it to work . I have these cables :

Autokit 25KCHV06 Cable Adaptador Manos Libres-ISO: Amazon.es: Coche y moto

Here in Spain we have little information of the vehicle and is quite difficult to find spare parts.

Thank You.

Yes I used an adapter cable. It was supplied by the installer, and I have no idea where it came from.

The adapter you posted from Amazon is for a Chevrolet Captiva 2006 - not an HHR - so I suspect it would not work.

Check out - Parrot Kits and Quick Connect Harness Adapters - but the harness may not be available anymore.
