Body Control module

My HHR is a month old and I'm having to get a new Body Control Module already. There was no problem before my dealer "fixed" my radio problem. Now they're having a hard time programming the BCM and they're not sure what's wrong. Any ideas anyone?

Have them pull the driver's seat out and look under the carpet. There is a wiring harness that runs beneath it. On some early production models the seat bolts damaged the harness wires causing several electrical problems,. Although the problem has been corrected in later production runs, there is always a chance that this has happened to yours as well.

First place I'd look.

Hope it helps,

I think I will look under the seat and see if my 2011 may be shorted there.

So I guess the other thread you started and the replies weren't helpful ?

I'm out.

It probably would have been better to stick to your original thread, and post a link to this one - ie: keep the issue in a single thread - much less confusion overall. Just a helpful suggestion.
