Cost of 6-Disk CD Changer ??

My HHR has a single disk CD setup. Is it possible to change to a 6 disk setup without destroying the originality of the radio? Can this be done by an audio installer, or by the Chevrolet dealer? Any idea on the cost? Is it necessary to swap out the entire radio? If so, it could be expensive. If not practical, I will just wait until the HHR is available with Turbo or V-6 (if ever) and will then be sure that I get the 6-disc CD in my next HHR.

Also, on the next car, no Onstar, which IMO is a waste of $600, as doubt if I will ever use it. For $600 if I get locked out of the car (haven't done so yet), I will break the window or call my wife to bring the other key. If she is with me, we will use her key. As to getting lost, a better choice would be to have an optional GPS system, or install a portable GPS, which works nicely. If the car is stolen, I have insurance, so don't worry about tracking the car down. With cell phones, wonder how they sell the Onstar? Am I missing something?

There was something else that they used to use . . . Oh I remember. It was called a "map". It was a piece of paper with lines drawn all over it.

Maps - oh yes.... I forgot about those things. Actually I use maps frequently and also often go to MapQuest for directions to an out-of-town location, even if I am driving a car with GPS. Either way, I have not yet figured out how I can get $600 value out of my Onstar, plus annual fees after the first year. Before we all had cell phones, Onstar may have had more appeal, but now....? ? ?

Cool

Look at threads with guys changing out their 6 CD to put in an after market unit. They's sell them and there's also eBay to watch.

No sir, at this moment, it's holding down 4 LED underbody kits on my vinyl table. Any takers?

Hell, since I'm new here, (from that other forum), I'll call it $50 + shipping... Fair?
