Dealer installed DVD player

Well i got 2 little kids and we use a dual screen dvd player with cords going everywhere... Is the dealer installed dvd player worth the coin.. 1900 dollars when i saw it as an option at the dealer. Seems awful pricey.. anybody got one ?

I installed my own setup in the wifes MPV back in 04. Today it's even easier, you can buy headrests with the players already build in. $1900 seems very high to me.

Not high if you consider the DVD system is around $500.00... the other $1400.00 is labour and the dealers mark-up.

I bought a flip down unit from ebay...installed it were the dome light was. The player works great. $235.00 1 hour install. I'll post a picture later.

Seems I can't post pics?? Anyway very easy to install. Glued a 4x8" piece of 1/2 ply with foam spray to inner roof. Screwed dvd unit to ply. Works and looks great....going on 3.5 years now. Power came from dome light. The player is dvd, tv, 2 av inputs, usb for pics, remote, output to FM radio, infared out, 2 dome lights.

I work with kids so this is something I am really thinking about buying. I found this site. Not the GM one though. http://www.qualitymobilevideo.com/20...rolet-hhr.aspx

Also for the stock GM ones I found them on www.gmpartsdirect.com for much less then dealer prices. Would total up to around $1300. Plus remote and headphones so another $75.
