Door Chimes and Blinkers

Im planning on replacing my stock cd player and know from reading on here that i will lose my chime sound and blinkers. I also saw that there was something you could buy that would let you keep said sounds. Could somebody tell me what that is? Or do you think it would be fine to just leave it quite?

In order to keep your sounds, you would need a harness for the aftermarket radio.

The harness includes a small box with electronics inside that interpret the signals provided by the BCM for the non-GM head unit so that the sounds continue to be audible through the sound system.

Im looking at putting an aftermarket unit in my 2007 LT1 and I found this at Crutchfield. This particular unit is for a non on-star vehicle but im sure they make one for onstar equipped vehicles as well.

If you buy a headunit from Crutchfield that is $129 or higher, you can get that harness/module for half price. Which is a great deal.
