Factory Radio Problems

Anybody having problems with their factory radio? I have a 1LT with the standard stereo system. I'm noticing that my right side speakers are much louder than the left side. Also the fronts are much louder than the rear.

I took it to the dealership and they said they had to reprogram the radio on some of these cars to make the music sound better. GM NEWS BULITEN.

They did it but it didnt help. They are ordering me another radio. Anybody have this problem?

Radio

Hey:
I noticed my rear speakers aren't as loud as they should be, almost all sound is from the front speakers. I have a 2LT with the Pioneer premium system, 6 disc CD, XM Equalizer, should be more balance to the rear than I can get. So there is a service bulletin on these? Guess a trip to the dealer is in store....Sheezee hate to have them mess with it. What is the number on this service bulletin, hopefully my dealer can find it.

I'm unsure of the bulliten number. The service manager found it looking on his network. The premium sound may be different though

I have replaced my system with an aftermarket head unit (Pioneer), amplifier, door speakers and subs. The rear door speakers are still not as loud as the fronts. My feeling is that it is a combination of a) location (they are very low and behind front seats), and b) door volume (the back doors have very little air volume to support "big" speaker sound).

Still, with my new system pushing a mere 500-watts, I am enjoying superb sound in my HHR - with a strong front soundstage and deep full bass.

the same amp powers all 4 of my speakers, I'm running 200-watts to all four door speakers. 50-watts to each. Equal power - but not equal sound. I've been in there a few times installing and insulating them. There is an issure with door volume as the rear door speaker pockets are very small...

Took my car in and they replaced the radio. Sounded much better. (not perfect, but enough for me to live with)

3 days later I open my door to my car and static is playing through my speakers. So I hit the power button and it made a loud pop and crack through the speakers. (confusing) It has also done this to me once I shut off the car. It doesnt happen every time. Just every once and a while. Cars going in tomarrow to check it out. This is starting to piss me off. I have a brand new Double din DVD player for the car but dont want to put it in if the stereo doesnt work good in the first place. Then they'll blame the problem on the new radio.

BTW: Does anybody know if they make a wiring harness for these cars yet? I know it take a Dodge antenna adapter. Wondering if it took a dodge harness too. (I hope. Cheaper)
