Ginormous Box for HHR

Measures 38 3/4" wide by 21" deep by 16 1/2" tall. Video's soon to come, but I can make my roof flex quite a bit.

The equipment I have running is as follows:
Elemental Designs 13kv.3
Crossfire Vr302
Some older Panasonic deck

ever seen the Klipsh folded horn base unit? Takes two 4x8 sheets of 3/4 marine ply to build them. Unfolded the horn is 32 feet long. Will produce 16 hz if you have the equiptment (although no one can hear that low you can feel it).

The box is what is called a transmission line. It sounds better than sealed, is loader than ported, and plays lower than both. The problem is that it needs a huge box in order for it to work. It is tuned around 30 hz so it drops extremely low. People that I have had listen to it swear it is at lease two 12's at over 1000 watts, boy are they surprised when i tell them its a single 12 with 300 rms power. The exterior dimensions measure that it would be 7.7 cubic feet.

Nice work on that box, should sound sweet. My box is almost as big, but sounds great to me. No need to worry about space just sounds...:
