Is there a GM factory gps unit that will work in a HHR? I have a '06 LT, no Onstar or XM other than a"CAT" button when pressed says "XM" feature. I do have steering wheel controls. Maybe something from a Hummer or Cadillac.

I'm not sure if any factory units will work but I'm sure you could pick up a portable unit much cheaper. I have a Garmin streetpilot c330 and it works great plus you can move it to another car.

Wife has GPS built into her Caddy and it is a whole lot more than just gps. Runs seating mems, all the auto functions as moves the tilt/telescoping steering, radio and its functions, DVD player and lots more stuff that isn't even avail. on a HHR. I think I have seen a number of aftermarket units with Radios etc. all built in HHR's on this site. That would be your best bet.

You can get the Kenwood from 6th ave electronics on Amazon for $639 right now. Crutchfield has it for $999 I think. And you can get the PAC SWI-JACK adapter to keep the steering wheel controls
