one member that I know of ordered this package and got it to work. They just had to move around some wires to fit the HHR's wiring. There's also a post here with the wiring diagram for the radio connections.

I have the exact harness and wired it up in May. The problem is the GM Lan module isn't included with that (obviously) and none of the other GM modules will work, not even the Cobalt/Impala/Trailblazer (I tried all three).

The harness works, don't get me wrong there, but lacking the GM Lan mod signal sounds, door chimes, etc. will still not work.

Re: Aftermarket

That link was for the wiring harness needed for upgrading to an aftermarket head unit. It is a little spendy... I asked the installer if the only purpose of this was to make the door chime through the sound system. He informed me that this module is also connected somehow with the oil life meter. I guess I am going to have to save some more pennies and wait to buy it...

Is this for the HHR? I was in Best Buy about a week ago and they checked and still had no time frame as to when they would be out.

The one shown in the link is made by Scosche, who developed the HHR Radio Dash Kit that Mike from SoCalHHR's sells. Once again, if memory serves me right, he is working with Scosche on an HHR aftermarket harness. When they become available, I'm sure he'll be on their list of distributors and he'll let us know at that time.

Mike...correct me if I'm mistaken.

if you install an aftermarket head unit you can use the harness and rewire it, or you can just tapp the factory one like i did. If you dont mind losing your chimes and warnings then go for it. as for losing anything on the DIC, you dont, i havent, socal's hasnt, and there are others here that havent. if you have onstar, you will loose that. pioneer, if i remember CJ correctly, while have an interface out some time in october for onstar.
