Someone else had this problem, for some reason this only happens to a few, but after an hour or so the HHR will start up. Someone said that the cpu has to reset Give it a go after an hour or two.

I talked to the dealer service department today. They don't have a clue as to why my original key doesn't work since I disconnected the battery. I can't remember if I had the key in the ignition or not when I disconnected it........ all my chimes don't work with the new HU...........but maybe some kinda power spike confused the key memory

I'm afraid to try it again, cause then maybe my second key won't work either..

They will re-program it when I go in for my first oil change

but it just doesn't make any sense to me, what am I supposed to do if the battery dies on a trip, I have to replace it, and I don't have the spare key with me .............
