Birch is stronger than mdf. Its also about half the weight. I haven't used mdf in years and never will. I hate working with mdf lol

got some cardboard, messed around with some trim panel templates last night before it got too late. today i get off early, and will get the roof installed. then its kerf time :)

i think these panels will look nice once suede'd up

Are those panels going to be rounded as well, like in the picture? I really need to get rid of my truck so I can get another HHR lol This is killing me!!!

which panels, the ones im working on with the cardboard now, or the ones that will be near the B pillar? the ones im working on now with the cardboard template will be rounded with the weather stripping, im using like 1/8 stiff cardboard stuff from home depot, so its flexible enough to form to the curve

dont have much time each night to work on this after work/gym/etc etc... today after work i will get the top piece attached and done.

i have to remove that resistor wired into the rear dome light, and move it to the front, becuase if it ever burns out i wont be able to replace it (for my LED dome lights)... it also gets VERY hot, so thats why it's been hanging from the roof, becuase i didnt wanna just stick it up there, and it burn through the headliner/catch fire.. lol

Getting closer... weekdays i only have an hour or less per day thats why I don't make much progress. This weekend though, ill have the whole inside of the box sealed up and ready for sub baffle and port.
