if i go 48 to 96 i can get over 300 to 450 songs

and how much did you pay for your IPOD?

Significantly less than you paid for your lake pipes plus your spoiler... and my iPod is a whole lot more useful (to me anyway!). I don't have to keep track of any physical CDs and have access at any time to 600+ albums (6000+ songs) and a couple dozen audio books.

Whatever works for you.

What do you mean prehistoric? Now, if I said 'cassette deck' or '8-track'...

I know, snova031. But I still have my old 8 tracks. When the tape wasnt stretching, the sound quality was supposed to be better than on the cassettes since the tape speed was faster. But they did have a tendency to get eaten up. And the music always seemed to be in the middle of a song when it switched tracks. To this day, when I hear a song that I used to listen to on 8 track, I expect to hear the click-click sound at that point.
