the gas prices usually requires a subscription. I have a tomtom, but a lower model. Not in the US but in europe you can also subscribe to where traffic cameras are so you can slow down....

I have a PAL for my Nano and leave it in the car all the time (top glove box). I only take it out when I'm updating the music. It has never drained the battery or whatever. Also, living in the land of perpetual sunshine, I've not had a problem with leaving it there in the heat either...

I resisted getting an iPod (had an MP3 player), but didn't like how I had to work it, etc. Dealer had installed the PAL, so it was worth it to get the Nano at least. Love the convenience of it and using the steering wheel controls.

Regardless, IMHO, I think they all sound great through the upgraded 7 speaker system.
