I pluged my Nano into Sindys car when she wa here in FL with me, the sound was great! No problems there!

Not intended to bring this thread off track: Compared to playing any MP3 player through the Aux input, I found MP3 sound quality and volume to be better when downloaded to a CD-R and played back through the stock head unit.

As I have come to understand since posting this originally, most MP3 players hook to the AUX input through the players earphone output. These are apparently filtered, particularly for volume output, because of their intended function. The iPods have a firewire connection at the bottom which is not "filtered" as such and the sound volume and quality is supposedly more "pure" and that's why I went with the Belkin product here...it uses the firewire output and with a 3.5mm cable which plugs into into it, sends that signal to the radio. I honestly hear a difference, not only from a volume POV.

i second this. i had too much interference so a gold cable from radio shack is all i use now, i have the creative zen vision/m player

ebay has some real nice mp3 holders for those that use the cable and just need a holder
