Keeping those Subs from sliding around.
Keeping those Subs from sliding around.
Its a pretty simple concept and may or may not be worth mentioning....but hey, everyone has to start somewhere. My 2011 has a very slick plastic hatchback interior and the kicker subs in carpeted box just slid around at every turn or brake/acceleration. I couldn't bear the thought of anchoring it down with a couple of L-brackets due to drilling through the interior.....so $9 later its firmly secured and I've put over 100 miles on it since. Industrial Velcro strips, ran in parallel to the raised portions on the top of the floorboard (cargo storage lid). Soft side attached to cargo lid, rough side attached to the sub box. No drilling, and everything is in the same place it was from the 1st day of instillation. Just thought i'd pass this along...
I am hoping to get to this project this winter.
A member here had this Custom done at a custom audio shop. 10" sub.
I am doing my version, a pair, 1 on each side with my 12" subs in place. I bought all the materials to do it, just havent got to it yet.

This will get me my interior rear space back and be running dual 12" subs up off the floor nicely.
For now it's one 12" sub in the way and moving in the back.
