updated. just got off the phone with the service guy. they are going to reflash my ecu. he said the code was due to sitting for a long time(doesn't make sense to me). also my charge pipe(hot side) had play at the bottom compared to barracades(my wifes car) which will be looked at and tightned. it said i can pick it up today at 5.

I hope they fixed the issue, but something tells me the problem will arise again. There is an issue somewhere and the dealer doesn't want to spend more than 5 seconds trying to find it. If you Google DTC P0299, you'll see this is a common problem on all makes of turbo cars. Most of the hits I looked at were VW related with a bad boost controller or diverter valve being the problem.

so far so good with the car. going to drive it to work tommorow and let it rest for awhile. noticed some different things after they reflashed it. my idle is a little lower and no more flickering boost gauge.
