Map light

I am going to find a way to run a 12 v power line so I can make my map light work. Here are some photos of it.

I got it off a friends 1974 Capri 30 years ago, and have used it in most of my cars since then. I love the universal joints in it that allow it to point anywhere. It automatically turns off when you fold it down.

Come on, everybody. Doesn't anybody have any comments, negative or positive, about this light? I think it is the coolest light and very functional. And I think it looks pretty neat in that location. (Perhaps everybody is jealous that they don't have one )

I personally wouldn't add one to my HHR...but then again, I don't do much traveling either. Looks might handy and versatile though. If I do travel and need to see a map, I'll be using the Microsoft GPS program on my laptop that I plan on purchasing and that will eliminate the need for a map or a map light. For those who travel...I'm sure it's convenient and as long as you like it...that's all that really matters.

Interesting. I've never seen one like that. Couldn't you just adjust your mirror to see, that's what I do. I like the lights on the mirror better than a standard dome light.

I've had them in many of my cars. I love 'em! Can't say that I would put it in my HHR though.

I would cover the screws.

That is one of the best map lights I've seen. As for the screw heads....they need a little work. Because I don't have that switch plate on my headliner, I don't know where you could pull 12 volts from. As always, nice addon Lee

I had one of those in my 85 Tempo.

Really liked it. Came in handy more than once.
