Multiple amplifier remote turn-on wires

Gentlemen,

I will be installing aftermarket HU, speakers, subs, and amplifiers. A total of three amplifiers are going in, so I believe I will need three remote turn ons. Aside from the one coming from the HU, where can I hook up the other two? Ideas/options greatly appreciated.

Yes this is my first install, so go easy on me, as you would not want to make me apprehensive about hitting you up for more info in the coming week as I try to do this thing!

Thanks in advance

I had 2 fosgate amps in my s-10 and all I did was run 1 of 10 or 12 gauge hotwire to the 2 amps and joined both turn on leads from each amp to the one heavy gauge turn on wire. The turn on section of the amps doesn't pull very many amps so it would be safe to run all 3 amp turn ons off 1 10 gauge or 12 gauge turn on wire. Hope this helps. I would run the turn on's from the fuse panel on pass side fuse box with a add a circuit that you can buy from autozone or advance auto.
Hope this helps.

The current draw is so minimal that a sigle 18 ga. wire from the remote lead from the HU can turn on around 10-12 different components. I had a sigle turn-on lead from my HU turn on 8 big amps and a processor...along with 6 neon transformers and had no issues.

Three amps is nothing for a remote.

I thought I had read somehwere, on my many trips through the net on system installs, that this is not recommended, but I'll go with your experience and go that route then. Thank you Collyn.

You can just use the remote turn on lead from the head unit to turn on all of your amps. Once you get up to around 6-8 amps or more then I suggest to use a relay.
I do not suggest tapping into the fuse box at all.

ED,

I've read many of your posts am pretty certain you are not qualified to be giving any advice on this this subject, as it appears you do not have much experience with audio equipment.

Thanks bud.

Ha, I know. I know.
And you would think with all of my experience I wouldnt have blown a sub but I did the other day. But it was fun and now I get to rebuild it and do it all over again, woohoo!

Lets see some pics when you are done.
