Exclamation Need a little help

apolizige ahead of time in case this seems rude to anyone. I have worked at two different higher end audio shops during the past 3 years and i have loked throughout all the sub install pictures on this sight. I have yet to see anyone do any real audio system in a hhr. If there is anyone who went through the trouble of taking the whole vehicle apart to do deadener or made custom speaker enclosures, i have a few questions if you would be willing to share your knowledge.

Reasons for my questions/comments.

The plan:
kenwood DNX9960 Navigation, bluetooth, backup camera
Focal K2 165krx3 component, focal k2 165krc component, and zapco reference 5.25 for mids and highs.
Zapco dc1000.4 amp on highs
(2) JL Audio HD750/1s for bass amps
(2) JL Audio 13w6v2 for subs
Custom removable enclosure
2/0 wire from an aftermarket(ohio generation) altenator to 3 stinger batteries
audio control matrix line driver for amping up the voltage into the amps

i would like all the inside info i can get before under taking a project of the magnitude.

I know a lot of people on this site that have used sound proofing through out their cars. There is one member that put 3 12's in a casket but I don't remember his name off hand. I plan on doing something wild to my SS as well, but that won't be in till the summer, if I can resist the turbo swap pressure from everyone.

I would like to think mine is a real audio system. I have custom tweeter pods and the subs are mounted with minimal loss of room. I live in crossville, if you wanted to meet up sometime and listen. Id be more than willing to let you. http://s244.photobucket.com/albums/gg34/hugheshhr/HHR/ Thats a link to my photobucket account. The tweeter pods have since been glassed in. They just like the finish coat of bondo and sanded and dyed.

Like i said before i didnt want to offend anyone with my comments. It's just i have been working on cars with my dad since i could crawl(slight exaggeration), racing go-karts(real go-karts not a yard kart, wka and tdka series), and working at a stereo shop for 3 years. I'm just a little picky when it comes to how things are done. Mainly when i define something as real, I really base it on is it something a good installer can do in 2hours, or is it something that a person pondered over, got a game plan, and spent the man hours to do something that not only impressed them as the owner, but made others take a step back and say "ohhhhh." Anyway i just got this SS and i just want to do this right the first time i already have most of the equipment, just havent had the time to really tear into the car yet to see how everything will lay out. This is only the 2nd car i have ever owned and the first that will be done entirely on my own the first time.

I know that this isnt the thread for this, however, you mentioned turbo upgrade........ Any insight on particulars, going to need a little something extra after the 400pound or better stereo add-on.

I was referring to swapping in a bigger turbo. But I may wait for others to take the plunge first. A lot of the Cobalt guys have done it but I have yet to see an auto attempt it. If you want to keep the 5 year/100,000 mile warrenty, p/n 19212670 will boost power and not void it. http://www.crateenginedepot.com/stor...P2292C468.aspx You didn't mention if you had the 5 speed or auto. The automatic really picks up a lot of missing torque and hp especially in first and second gears! Plus there is also bolts ons you can add.
