That Metra harness has been around since at least July. Posted in a different thread. Same part number. See thread #16 in https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/audio-video-17/wiring-harness-several-available-work-3248/.

Here's the pics!

The HU

A few screen shots.

(sorry these aren't better but the graphics are moving!)

The amps

The subs

They made it real easy to change back to the 8" sub. Just pull one jack, plug in the 8" jack, and turn down the amp.

Nice setup bro! JL kicks A** That's the sub-box I originally wanted to go with The head unit looks great. I see you decided to go with the 500/1, good choice I like the way they made it easy to switch back to the 8". That setup looks like it delivers some serious bass!

Thanks.

Thanks to what some said hear, I did a little checking and asked more questions, and the 500/1 was the best way to go to drive that box. Gotta turn all the way down when running the 8" though.

It definately rattles the windows. Only real problem is that the license plate vibrates bad. Easy fix though. I hate loud systems that vibrate so bad you can't hear anything else.

I'm now living in The Land of the LOUD!

3 small clear suction cup things, like you use to hang stuff an a window, did the trick. $0.99!

GDZ, do you have a quick release system to access the spare ? I did a set up for my son, had plugs to make emergency situations more bearable, never know when the next flat will be .
