could be newer phone with old technology Bluetooth in the OnStar, do you have the OnStar button on your mirror? Could be just the radio buttons were added by previous owner

From what I have , an 07 LT2 with the buttons but no OnStar , I don't have the option to pair via Blue tooth, that may have changed by 09

ok thanks i thought that might be the problem never hurts to ask thanks . no phone

OnStar not = BlueTooth. Does the radio have BlueTooth? If not there is nothing to pair to.

im not sure how can i find out if it does , could there be a fuse or something unpluged.

A BlueTooth Trade Mark symbol on the face plate, maybe.

I am only guessing, but I think only the "premium" AKA Pioneer system would even be capable of the option to have it.

No bluetooth logo anywhere on my Premium system.
I have paired up 2 phones, no problems.

My original window sticker shows "Bluetooth for Phone" listed as an option.
