Radio Replacement

I bought a factory take-out radio to install in my HHR. I think my radio is not operating correctly (no volume compensation and no bass). What do I need to do to replace my factory radio? How to remove the dash cover? Does the replacement radio need "reprogrammed" for my vehicle? Other items of interest? Thanks for your help!

There is a how to post on here. do a search and you will pull it up its complete with pics. I beleve that the replacment radio will have to be programed at the dealer.

I was able to finally locate the removal instructions on this forum. I will contact my dealer next week for reprogramming. Thanks for the information!
