Re-wiring Frontdoor Speakers/Tweeters

'09 LS, non-Pioneer

I saw a thread that had pictures of running new wires to some component door speakers and up to the A-piller tweeters. The pics showed the new wiring "sneaking" (no cutting/splicing involved) past the wiring harness that goes to the door. I can't seem to find that thread again; can anyone point me to the right place? Of course, as soon as I post, I find it here starting on post #4.

I'm planning to install a set of Infinity Ref-6500cx components and a Nakamichi NA788 (24 watts/channel). I know an amp would be best, but that seems like too much hassle right now. Any advice would be MUCH appreciated; especially, mounting the tweeters in the factory location and where/how to mount the crossovers .

I've replaced the front door speakers with Jensen DUBS265's. They sound good, but there's too much tweeter, since I left the A-piller tweeters connected. I plan to move these to the back doors (even though they are 4 ohm).

Any thoughts or advice on all this would be a big help.

I routed new wire through the doors, don't think any more than 16ga will fit tho.
EDIT: now I remember it was only 18ga and was tight, but 16 may fit with a little work. Then run it through the rubber cover into the door.
