runnin dual batts?
runnin dual batts?
so ive never had a stereo with enough balls to have to run a second battery, but since i got two 12" L7's ima need some serious juice. is running two batteries gonna kill my stock alternator?
I've been noticing my lights dimming at night. The louder, the dimmer.
Been thinking about getting a yellow top but I think they are enough taller than stock, I'd have to modify the area.
So I'll be watching to see how you work this out.

wouldnt say that much, but capacitors are useless to an extent and you may not need both batteries. you cannot replace the need for more amperage by adding a battery. its just a band aid that helps, but does not fix the problem...just covers it up. what you could do is use a nice Kinetik battery which works like a capacitor with the reserve of a battery. i always tell my customers that as an installer, not a salesman...if you spent 1500 on wheels, another 2-3k in audio, and 2k in performance parts another $300 on a beefed up alternator and a kinetic is a drop in the bucket. let me know if you need any help. i have been installing for quite some time and built show winners and in 2008 an SPL car which is reaching USAC World Finals.
i would have to say i agree with quest. capacitors wouldnt solve the problem but they would help. kinetic is awesome but also look at xstatic batcaps, that is what i have in mine. its almost as big as my battery lol. they have many different styles and sizes for your personal tastes.
