Running Powerwire From Battery to Amp

Are there any how-to guides on wiring an Amp's power cable from the battery to the Amp in the trunk for an HHR? Where is the best place to run the wire through the hood into the car? Maybe someone can post some pics of where they have thier power wires running.

Thanks!

You battery is in your trunk. It's a real short run so you don't need a how to.

Yes it is! Just found out myself. Please disregard this post.... It is amazing how this car is put together! The head unit is so easy to replace, and now I see it is prob the easiest car to hook up and amp to. Amazing! Thank you HHR!

I don't know about you, but I had to hacksaw the back of the stereo slot to make my RCA cables fit. I got the Alpine 9856 in last night and the three RCA cables wouldn't allow the stereo to go all the way in.

I had to cut the back until it fit all the way in. The OEM stereo is easy to remove but there is not a whole lot of room back there. MY 9856 is touching the back panel area. I know someone else mentioned having to modify the back panel to make there stereo fit...

Yep, had to do a little modification myself when I put my Kenwood DPX-701 in as well. There just isn't much room back there.

I was considering the dremel but was worried about the harness back there. I used a hacksaw blade and it worked pretty good.
