Hi there.
I agree with Rcflyboy. See my thread titled: "?? about installing my aftermarket H.U.".

I did the same thing (changed my HU + 4 door speakers), and it really transformed the car over the stock set up.

Just my $0.02.

If you intend to only change the speakers look at the stuff that has a lower power rating. (basically non components) When I installed a full set of MB quart Discus speakers I lost a fair amount of volume but it did sound better.

This is because for those higher rated speakers to reach the same level they required more power.

Just a thought..

mudd274 it's funny you said you feared the rattles you would get from removing the waterfall cause I had them. I had to take it back off twice before I got rid of it. However new HU was certainly worth it. Good luck with whatever you chose to do.

Infinity has an adapter that works with no mod necessary. (comes with the speaker) Crutchfield also sends you an adapter for free if you buy from them. I used both of the adapters together to space the speakers a little closer to the outer door panel. It was however necessary to drill a couple of holes into the adapters to make them work together. You could do just one adapter, using two was just my preference.

Infinity reference speakers previously talked about in this post are on sale at Crutchfield this week. Just info for anyone interested. About 20% off.
