Satelite Radio

How can i find out if my 1LT is XM capable. I have a box behind the glove compartment that says Delphi...which i believe is from XM. But nowhere on the slip with all the options the car came with says XM capable or anything.

the delphi box is part of the heating/cooling system above that box is the cabin air filter. For a hhr radio to be xm capable it should have a 'cat' button on the interface.

Scroll through the BAND selection, XM if capable will follow FM.

Look at your invoice, did you pay for the xm in the radio?

If the radio does not have XM, assuming you have at least the single CD MP3 capable radio, you should be able to have XM added to it.
Or the PAL interface - just one or the other - or so my dealer told me.

I ended up with the XM addon, since I know I'd use it more than my iPod.

sirius

if you do have a xm radio, for $99, you can get a change over box to make it sirius. xm isn't as good. but if the goverment gets off there butts and lets them murge, then it won't matter.

"xm isn't as good"

Isn't this subjective?

Exactly what I was thinking.

I have had XM in my vehicles since '03, and really miss it if I have to drive a vehicle w/out it.
I even have XM on my Goldwing :-)

I have read that the current offering for SIRIUS SIR-GM1 doesnt work with our radios and everyone is waiting on the new SIR-GM3. Do have any more info on the $99 box Im a SIRIUS fan and had XM in the past and agree that SIRIUS is better! See it's not not subjective because 2 of us agree lol
