Our shop celica hit 159db off 12 12's and about 6000 watts rms before blowing the windows out.
I had a '92 grand am. I had one 15, two 12's, two 10's and four 3000 watt amps in the back. She was hitting if I can remember about 158 db's. Had the trunk lid pop up many times and broke the rear glass once. Wish I still had that system. Sold it after high school to get a supercharged camaro.

the shop celica blew out both front door windows and the rear hatch. at 150 and above it almost takes your breath away, and if the bass it low enough it almost hurts the heart.

I know what you mean. Very hard to breath. Your eye lids viberate.

Looks good CJ.
Did you paint the screens for the door speakers black to match all the tweeters.

Hey CJ, thanx for taking the time to take pix during your install. I know first hand that this slows down your install and can be frustrating. It looks like I will be referring to this thread when it's time to do my install...

Jaydogg any chance you have pix of that Acura? I've got a co-worker who is willing to sell me his used JL10W3 for $200. But my biggest concern is where to put that thing? What do you think?

if i had the pics i would put them up, but they where on the computer i had at work and well lets just say the bank took everything before i had the chance to get my pics off there, the owner hadnt paid any bills in over a year and they finally came and shut us down without knowing what was going on. The owner had us transfer any vendor calls to his ext. so we really had no clue what was going on. As for a 10w3, you might be able to get those new for less than 200. CJ might be able to tell you what he paid for his 12w3 off ebay, i forgot how much he paid but i think it might have been around that amount or cheaper.

I had to cut the bolt on the back for the flush mount, it was too long. i could have driven and gotten 2 smaller ones but i just dremeled them... easy enough

with just the speakers and crossovers in and no sub other than the 8 in pioneer the system is amazing

cant wait to put the amps in tomorrow
