What gauge wire do you recommend for the door speakers (infinity 6.5 reference 60 watts RMS)?

For my components, 240W RMS, I run 12ga. Though important, power does not necessarily dictate speaker wire size. Importantly, for longer runs, you have to factor resistance of the speaker wire so as to not exceed 5% of the rated impedance of the system. In your case, a 12-14 will do fine.

Thanx bro, the infinity speakers don't come with speaker wire....

It sounded great, but I'm not a big fan of prefab boxes in my load bay, so...

Yesterday, Shnog had about 2,500 watts to play with, mostly going to my Clif Designs components, front and rear. Well, I've added 2,000 more, and the juicy bits to play with the power. Critically, two Optima Yellow Tops are paralleled in the stock location, feeding Shnog a steady diet of amperage.

Also, I replaced the prefab with a custom 'glassed enclosure, and a forward-facing rack holds my four amps. I chose to leave the amps exposed, vice hiding them under the parcel shelf. Of course, they will be flush mounted with the rack, something I need to finish up tomorrow. I'll post completed pics when they're available.

A taste of the enclosure, sans subs.

We're much further along than the pics portray, I'll post the finished pics (hopefully) tomorrow! Thanks for reading!

I thought you planned on a sub floor?

I did, but once the two yellow-tops were installed, I had no room in the spare tire well... So, with the sound processor, and distribution blocks under the parcel shelf, I instead went with this.

When should you install a cap? And how do you determine which one?

Usually, one follows the ratio of one Farad per thousand watts. Beyond that, the choice for brand, color, etc, are up to you.

So if your amp is rated less than 1000 watts you don't need a cap? The infinity 6 channel is rated at 600, do I need one?
