Side panel sub installation

As you can see I have sub woofers on the brain!
Has anyone on this board sucessfully mounted a 10" sub in the sidewall? I imagine that you would haVe to increase the size of the box as most of the 10" subs need at least half a cube. I would be able to live with a grille if it allows the floor panel to tilt up............

I've brought this up and several members have stated that there isn't enough room for anything more than an 8" sub due to room and airspace. Tokyo/Edo was one source of information...

Side Panel 10" = no bass. Go for the pre-fab enclosure - you won't be sorry:

I bought mine from THIS guy -great pricing, great sound!

If you need hauling room - just pull it out.

I never do :

I'm going with a Focal 11" sub, Focal component 6.5 setups for the doors, an Audison 5 channel amp, and a cleansweep processor.

What are you doing with the sub? Pre-Fab? Custom?...

I am either building it into the stock side position or into the floor.

There's just not enough cubic volume for a sub that size in the side panel. You might get one in there, but it ain't gonna have low bass...

There's really not enough volume under the rear floor area either (unless you lose the spare tire), for a sub that size.

Best of luck with it!
