I just bought a used '09 HHR SS. The radio display looks like it has smudges on it. But the smudges must be inside of the display since a soft cloth across the front of the radio does nothing to remove them. And if I rub my finger across the front, it doesn't feel like the marks were the result of a harsh abrasive (i.e., I don't feel any gouge marks). Has anybody else seen this on their radio? Is this common? Are they in fact, inside the radio? Any ideas on how to get rid of them?

Welcome to the site, you can remove the radio and the front face plate then gently clean the inside of the face.
