Start of System

Well... I ordered the sub that I'm going to use in the system. It's a Power Acoustik Mofo 12" sub- 1200 W RMS.. I figured this would be enough wattage for that small space. The 270 watt premium system drops pretty good for what it is, so 1200 should do nicely.
Now, I'm looking for a mono channel amp that can run 1000-1200W rms at 2 ohms, maybe a 2-channel that can be bridged to do the same. I saw the Power Acoustik A1800DB, which is a mono, runs 1100W RMS at 2 ohms, good price as well.
Any ideas on for any other amps??

What kind of box are you using for the sub and where are you putting the amp?

First, sorry it took so long to reply.
I didn't get it installed on Monday... it was President's day and the bank wasn't open, so I couldn't pay. But I had it rescheduled for tomorrow.
But with the system, I'm not doing any custom install like yours yet ...
I don't remember what kind of box it was, but it was $125 . It was the only thing they had close to what I needed. As for the amp, I guess I'll just stick it under the false floor. I just hope it gets enough air. I've seen a lot of people on here that did that, so it should be fine.
I'll let you know what kind of box it is and how it sounds tomorrow though

putting the amps in the middle compartment shouldnt be a problem. I had two amps there and it never overheated on me.

Like PNOY said, heat shouldn't be a problem. I've got two amps sandwiched between MDF and plexiglass, no problems. Look forward to seeing your setup

I had it installed, and it sounds awesome, but I cannot figure out how to post pictures. I can't copy and paste, and I don't know how to do the URL thing when it's from my computer and not the web.
HELP!!!!

Yea... "pics" is an abbreviation for "pictures"...
