Stock wiring pinout?

I am deciding to just cut the stock wires to wire up into an alpine cdm-9801 directly.

Will NOT using the stock unit stop any functions from working?

I know the cruise control stopped working after I had my dnx-6160 plugged in with a gm13sr schoshe module thing.

I mainly need the color for the ignition turn-on.

On my stock unit there is no ignition turn on. The radio is powered at all times as the turn signal and other chimes come out the radio's front left speaker. These are controlled by the CAN network via the BCM.

Yup, run a wire from fusebox, sunroof or power window fuse.

In the fuse box (passenger center console) there is a fuse labeled RAP...get a relay and tap into that fuse for your 12v turn on wire.

Are you saying you have a cruise control problem after switching a radio?

I had the cruise control not work when I used the scosche GM13SR adapter.

I cut the ground and power wire, and wired in a rocker switch so that is my "ignition" for the head unit and remote out to the amps.

I don't know for sure, but I do know from the "adding radio buttons to steering wheel" discussion that the wire color order of the connecters changed a couple of times in the harness. What I am trying to say is maybe the connecter is set for one pinout and the adapter is set to a different year.
