Lightbulb Taking premium system from a 2009 and putting it in my 2006 Lt

Hello! i am planning on ripping out the premium system wiring from a wrecked 2009 LT (with Pioneer) and taking out ALL of the wires from the 2009 and to put it in my car. any advice/suggestions/where to start?
I also read something about chipped stereos and VINs and how 2006-09 need blank chips?

The chip in the HU needs to be either blank, absent (may work) or programmed to the BCM.
Be careful the radio is connected to the computer LAN.
It may be possible to reuse the 2006 HU, I believe they are the same part number. Just use the plug from the 2009.

a couple questions
  1. What does the computer LAN do?
  2. 2009 plug?
  3. do i unplug the battery to prevent the BCM from acting up?
  4. could you also send me the link to the thread about where the Chip is and what i need to to to remove/replace.
  5. does the non-premium stereo have a connector for the sub or do i need the premium stereo?
Send links from other threads if they can answer these questions :)

The radio HU is the same it’s the amplifier and subwoofer and the door speakers that are different. You will need to program the BCM

That is what we were describing. Plus you would have to re route the speaker wires, from the speakers to the amp.
The HU is the "radio" the part you can see.

You said you were going to use the entire harness from the 2009, that would include the plug to the HU.
The LAN is just like the LAN in your home or office; it connects all of the computers and peripherals together.
