if you have an air compressor it really takes about 5 minutes total to reset them. To do the whole learning, bring them back up to pressure afterwards, and check everything over. I was in my dad's shop so it was fast. I have a small portable compressor here, so it would take a bit longer, but none the less...

Could someone tell me where this process is documented in the manual? Page number etc?

Thanks in advance

Found the instructions in another thread. Reposting it here since this thread comes up first with the terms "Tire + Pressure + Sensor"

The TPMS matching process is outlined below:
1. Set the parking brake.
2. Turn the ignition switch to ON/RUN with the engine off.
3. Press and hold the Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) transmitter’s LOCK and UNLOCK buttons, at the same time, for about five seconds to start the TPMS learn mode. The horn sounds twice indicating the TPMS receiver is ready and in learn mode.
4. Start with the driver side front tire. The driver side front turn signal also comes on to indicate that corner’s sensor is ready to be learned.
5. Remove the valve cap from the tire’s valve stem. Activate the TPMS sensor by increasing or decreasing the tire’s air pressure for about eight seconds. The horn chirp, can take up to 30 seconds to sound. It chirps one time and then all the turn signals flash one time to confirm the sensor identification code has been matched to the tire/wheel position.
6. The passenger side front turn signal comes on to
indicate that corner sensor is ready to be learned.
Proceed to the passenger side front tire and
repeat the procedure in Step 5.

I attempted to reset mine, set everything up, emptied out the front left tire 3 times, no honk. How can you tell if you sensor is working or not? I think I have 1 bad one, the first one you check.

Had to do it 3 times because LR (last tire) wouldn't honk. The 1st 2 times I tried it, the car had been sitting a few hours and I was unsuccessful with the LR.

Tried it again the next morning 1st thing before moving the car and LR honked so the reprogram was successful. However it still didn't solve my problem.

So what exactly is going on with yours? Is it errored out all the time? I had to do this a while back and the procedure posted here is the correct one straight from the manual. I had the RF sensor go out and had that dern dash warning! So I did the procedure and I had to let air out of the RF tire for like 30 seconds before it would honk at me. All was good and then one day later the RF went out again! Blasted! So I did the procedure again but it was even more difficult to get the RF tire to cooperate. Eventually it did and guess what? One day later the damn thing went out again! Argh! I assumed I would be going to the dealer to wait all day for a new TPS. So I figured WTF I'll try it one more time (3rd times a charm) and it has been good to go ever since.

Always the left rear. Typically after 20-25 miles the DIC LR will ---- out, chime will chime and light will light. I'll get to where I'm going, stay a while and start home and things are fine, no chime, no light, pressure reading 32. Occasionally, things (light) won't be clear so I cut the car off at the 1st light and everything will clear but usually the signal to do this is the DIC is reading 32 again on LR but light is still on.

20-25 miles later on the way home, DIC errors out, chime chimes, light lights. Never put air in and the next morning air checks at 32 on LR just like the other 3 tires so it doesn't seem to be the air guage I use. Might have to make 1st trip to dealer - 6500 miles.

By the way, thanks for asking.

Mine would go out (---) and stay out. When I would get up in the morning and start the care it would "ding ding ding" right away and give me the TPS light. The only way to get it back was to run the setup procedure again.

Hallo to all, new sensors

Hi, so I,m here for the first time. I live in Poland far from any dealer :). I had changed my tyres and rims to winter ones and bought overseas brand new sensors. New sensors are not seen by the car computer at all. There are two possibilities 1. They are in sleep mode because they are new 2. They are not right ones. Procedure mentioned in the manual does not work. I have another set of sensors in summer tyres and they are working fine. Do the new sensor need to be activated for the first time? Maybe I can use some trick to make them active? Thx

The new sensors have to be programmed to the BCM. Each has it's own ID and this can only be done with a scanner. This only has to be done once. You can use the owners manual method from there on out.
