unique keyfob question
My 2011 i bought from a small car dealer came with only one key and no keyfob. I talked to a Chevy dealer about new ones and he said that according to the VIN, It was a fleet vehicle and did not come with the remote start option. I bought two keys and two keyfobs off of ebay anyway and cut and programmed the keys myself. The question: Is the remote start expensive to get and difficult to install? I don't know if it be worth paying to program the keyfobs just to remote unlock the doors.

Check with your local auto alarm installer for after market RVS. There does not seem to be a "kit" from a dealer. I am not sure if it is a "don't know how" or "not possible" thing. It might be a matter of installing a hood closed switch and turning the option on in the firmware.
You also need the fob to set the TPMS positions.
