What am I missing on setting stations?

I have read and re-read the book and had a similar radio in my Impala that I traded in but for the life of me I cannot figure out this radion.

I have the optional high output system and when I press the "Band" button it switches between FM, AM, and XM.

But it never displays FM1, FM2?

I can get on FM and/or AM and hold a button to set a station and get the station set message and beep.

But when I press "Band" and go from FM to AM or back the stations displayed are not what was set on the FM and/or AM band. AM might have the FM stations and the same on FM.

Frustrating and confused.

What am I doing bif time wrong????

There is no FM 1 or FM 2. All preset stations will display according to the place you set them. AM will appear on the same display as FM presets, as well as XM. You have your choice of having up to 6 favorites for your preset stations.

I think mine just shows the numbers 1 thru 6 on the left side (I have mine configured for 6 sets of presets)

I have the pioneer system with XM.

Go to Menu on the radio, select Fav, then you can ad up to 6 pages for the FM and 6 pages for the AM.
To change the page, from one fav to another fav, just hit the fav button.
or use the controls on the stering wheel.
I do not have XM

Karen, w/ the XM radio, you can have all the presets mixed. No need to switch bands.

Thanks

Thanks Karen1953.
I did what you said and I now have 36 presets.
The manual talks about FM1, FM2, AM, XM and does not clearly specify how to set them.
After setting them I re-read the manual and it's still not clear in the manual.
Thanks to the forum.
