Question Will this work in a HHR?

Will this work in a HHR?
It looks like the same unit but I'd hate to get stuck with one that is close but not quite.

If so I'll bid on it.

Looks similar, just without the AUX input on the face.

Just my , for the price it's going for I'd put the money toward an aftermarket head unit with more power.

$80 for a six-disc changer isn't bad. Plus I think the black would look good. i'm planning on new speakers and amps anyways so the power isn't a concern. I am wondering and just sent them a question about it being xm ready.

Oh, and don't forget you WILL have to go to the dealer and get it flashed to work in your car. All GM radios now have an access code that must be matched to the vehicle before they will operate. I believe Deb paid close to $100 to have hers flashed...have fun!

Yep Mike...you are absolutely correct. Dealer charged me $99.00, but I received a 10% discount because I was a member of the other site and they are a participating dealer, so they lowered it to $89. Think I remember someone getting it done cheaper than that...but don't remember who and how much they paid.

It will say locked after it's installed until it is reprogrammed and I waited 2 hrs at the dealer to get that done. Make sure you call and find out how much and make sure they have the software downloaded, so you don't have to sit around twiddling your thumbs.

Mike, If you are planning to upgrade your amps & speakers, I would not waste my time putting a stock head unit in. They simply no not have quality DA converters, and the preamps have weak sound quality (EQ and dynamic range) when compared to the aftermarket goods. As much as you might spend on amps & subs would be much better served with a good aftermarket head unit first.
