Would this work for a used HHR with the stock radio that is in the mini-owners guide? It has a information button that says "XM only" when pressed, so I am assuming the hardware is XM capable. Does anyone know how I can identify if it is XM ready?

Was your car previously a rental? I am pretty sure from previous ready, they have said that most rentals don't have the XM capable radio in them.

I suspect it might have been a rental, but I am not sure. I was wondering if there was something I could identify to tell the radio type that somebody could point out.

Multiple Cars

Wonder what they will do with mutiple radios. I have my HHR, Avalanche, and CTS all coming due in Feb 2010. I think they quoted me something like 369 to keep all three radios active for a year. 88 for each would be a much better deal.

don't know if you'll be able to get it for all of them, and doubtful.

when i renewed last year they wanted to sell me another radio and the monthly for that would have been higher then the deal on the other one... no thanks.

sounds like you need an external one and move it from car to car?

I got 3 radios on my account, my primary xm is the $77.00 deal for 1 year, then on the 2nd radio, I got 5 months for $20, the when I went cancel my third radio, they gave me 3 months free then after the 3 months I can call back and get another 3 months free. We'll see then what happens.:thumb:

My 3 month trial isn't up yet, but I am thinking about renewing my subscription as I do enjoy listening to some of the stations.

In all the postings about renewing for $88 for a year, no one has mentioned what package level this amount is for. I'm assuming it is for the basic level package which would be less than the trial version which I think is most if not all the channels.

Of course I really don't need or want all the channels, but would like it clarified which package/stations you get for the $88 deal.

My three month trial just ran out and I left it go for several months. Yesterday, received a card from xm (THE $77.00/YEAR DEAL). Called same and signed up. Within 15 minutes of my calling and renewing, they sent the signal to my radio thru channel 1, and I was up and running on Xm again. The only catch is that when the year is up, they automatically RENEW with your credit card. I will call right before the year is up (OCT.19TH,2010) AND CANCEL SO THEY WILL NOT GET THE "new upgraded price"..MAYBE BY THEN THERE WILL BE ANOTHER PROMOTION OFFERED???

twistrman 10-19-2009 10:51 AM

the same one should be offered, but you most likely have to talk to the canceling people to get it.
