XM - Like it or leave it?

My son gave me a one year's subscription to XM for Father's Day. If it weren't for that I would be letting it go after the 90 day trial period. There are only a few channels that appeal to me and there is a lot of repetition on those. Maybe it'll get better if the merge ever occurs, but as it is, I'd leave it.

So what say you?

I like it, but hate paying for it. But that wasn't an option on the poll. I voted 1st choice.

If you don't like repetition then you would hate Sirius. I had it for 2 years before XM. Besides being repetitious, the Sirius playlists are not very deep.

I LOVE IT!!

Spend so much less on CDs now. We have both HHRs, an xm2go, and our home entertainment center all on the Family Plan.

The thing I like about the xm2go is we can take it anywhere, even use it in our seldom driven truck! Even have special headphone for listening while walking.

If HD Radio's potential ever pickup, I think it would give Sat Radio a run for the money plus its free. I liked listening XM in my Dad's car but there's is only 2 station I liked.

I don't have a Sat Dish or Cable in my house and no XM in my car. In my opinion you pay too much for the content available in "PAY for TV/Radio". Now if one were to make TV/Radio cable/Sat choices ala carte, then you might interest me. Don't force me to pay for what I don't watch or listen to.

I'd rather get it for free off the air or pay for a download subscription service like Rhapsody

The fact that the music channels have no commercials makes the subscription worth every penny! I could listen to my ipod but sometimes I hear stuff I forgot I liked from back in the day plus I get to hear new stuff. I also like not having to search for a new radio station I like every hour when I travel.

Love it! Besides having it in car, at work and home, it was my main source of music for 2 Mexican vacations!

Have XM in our 06 2500HD and Sirius in the HHR. Truly dislike XM, and much prefer Sirius.
