XM Sirius question ?

My HHR does not have XM. The head unit does have the XM button.

Does anyone know if the wiring for the XM receiver is there ?

I've been reading the old threads about the Sirius conversion, Anyone got it to work yet ?

I'm sick of the FM transmitter, I need to find a way to wire my Sirius receiver in directly. Don't want to give up the factory head unit.

Any ideas ?

THANKS IN ADVANCE

Can't you at least plug it into the AUX input instead of using the FM transmitter?

The wiring is not there. But like Interested said you should be able to use the Aux jack.

I've been looking for a cable to try the aux port, but can't seem to find one.

I asked the guy at Radio Shack, and he seemed kinda pissed that I asked.

Tried another Radio shack with no luck.

Tried BestBuy, No help either

So today, I guessed, I bought a 1/8 inch to 1/8 inch cable from Radio shack, Haven't got to try it yet, We'll see tomorrow.

It's not the Radio Shack of the old days where the guy's in the store were electronics geeks and knew what they're selling.
Make sure it's a stereo cable, otherwise you'll get sound through one channel only!

I just got sirius for the Black Arrow and the 1/8" plug and it works great through
the Aux jack. I got the 1 foot length at Radio Shack. Chris there is a Geek and
young in age but very knowledgeable. For my Big Truck I use a cassette adapter
to listen.
