i have the same clunking noise that everyone else has 93000 on the car . any illusrtations on fixing these items . will struts from other vehicles interchange from a gm car. my friends brother owns a junk yard with 100dreds of cars . thanks for any input.

 

Noises from the front end has been discussed to death already - and there are lots of tips and hints here especially in the "How-To" section - just use the SEARCH TooL at the top of the page, and be prepared for a lot of reading.

And of course struts from cars other than HHR's (and your specific model) will NOT fit.

 

And, no way would I recommend putting used suspension parts on a vehicle.

Do it right the 1st time.
