I found a complete set of lowering springs on the internet (JDMhub.com) and was wondering if anyone has feedback on them (the springs, I mean).
They caught my eye by stating that they lower 1.6" Front and 2.5" Rear, which is more than the other brands that I have looked at.
Ideally, I want to eventyally set it up on air, but due to budget restrictions, I have to stick with a static drop for the time being.

They also have alignment kits and sway bars.

Another question, anyone know how low you can go before actually NEEDING some type of alighment kit?

Really? Lowest you've seen? From HHR Boutique:
Goldline kit: Lowering Kit drops 1.75" Front and 2.125" Rear.

Drops more once settled in.

Progress Eng. in Anaheim, Calif. I got them about 2 years ago they supply springs and shocks for the Indy cars.

 

Math skills FTW. Progress Rears = 2.5" Goldline Rears = 2.125"

(yes I did notice that Goldlines are a smidge lower in the front...1.75" vs 1.6")

I am mostly just looking for feedback on ride quality, etc...
I know that quality varies from company to company, with some that just flat-out suck.

 

Are you seriously trying to tell me that 2 1/2 is more than 2 1/8?

 

I blame it on being left handed. Maybe I read my tape measure right-to-left.



Oh well....we were taught that 1/8" is smaller than 1/2" back in the day, but that was before "No child left behind".

 

Randy, Are you seriously trying to tell me that 1.6 is more than 1.75? Because I was under the impression from the original post that we were talking about total drop for a kit and not just the rear.

Good god people. I beleive my point was that all info I have found and seen says the Progress lowers the front about 1.5" ( 1/8" less than the Goldline) and the Goldline lowers the rear about 2.125 (1/8" less than the Progress) so the lowering "total" is the same or atleast close enough in real life because we all know, or atleast should, that the numbers they give us are more of an educated guess than actual drop. Which really makes the 2 pretty much equal. My Goldlines lowered more than advertised once settled in.

But you all knew all that and just wanted to split hairs. I understand. It's an internet forum and everyone does that on these things.

 

buy both sets and use the goldline fronts and the progress rear........ problem solved!!

 

Bassbase, I was just funnin' ya. I have heard nothing but good things about the GLs. Just was wondering about the other ones. No feedback on the Progress ones as far as settling.
