Bedding pads, while beneficial with semi-metallic pads, isn't all that critical. Its a different story with ceramics. 50 years ago, cars didn't have disk brakes with ceramic pads. In fact ceramic pads were the stuff of racing and high performance until only a few years ago. And only more recently became standard OEM on most cars today. So most people have no idea what bedding even is because its a relatively new idea for owners who do their own work. Even a lot of shops are not aware of its value and why it should be done. I wouldn't be at all suprised that this is the first car you've owned with ceramic pads. In 35 years, its the first I've had. That said, you can skip it and take a chance, or follow the procedure, which is VERY easy, and get more life out of your brakes. You really can't do this wrong because doing it wrong is akin to not doing it at all.

I have, including "bedding" advice. I live on the Chancellorsville Battlefield, does that count for anything?
