Bump Stops

Just installed Goldlines and like everything about them. I have noticed though that it doesn't take a very big bump in the road to hit the bump stops, especially the rear. I cut them 1 inch as the instructions say. Can the bump stops be cut more than 1 inch? Another 1/2-1 inch?

Cut too much and your shocks will bottom out and possibly be damaged. Also your tires could contact the upper wheel well.
I wouldn't cut more than the instructions say.
