Caliper pins
 

Well I was doing my brakes up front and on my passenger side top pin was a little taller then the other pin . .. When I went to put the caliber on with the new pads it would not fit.. So I had to like screw the one in so the caliber would fit .. So my question is do you tap these out to grease or do they screw them out? Never mess with them do not sure ..

They should just pull out but I have seen them seize in the adapter.

I try to free them with a little twisting motion to brake them free. I have had to use some heat to free then if there realy stuck in there.

To begin, you do not need to remove the top pin at all. Just remove the bottom one then flip the caliper up.

You did notice the squared bits that line up to the caliper to idiot proof it, right.

If you pull the pins you should put some caliper grease on them.

I don't normally remove the pins, unless I am going to lube them. Just the lower bolt is enough to do pads.

Brembos may be different, if you got them.

He is listed as a 2006 so it won't be an SS with Brembo's. However those pins the top one is longer and I always remove both to clean and lube them every pad change!

It is a stock 2007 ls and thanks on advice I will do both top is longer bottom shorter..:twothumbs:
