Cobalt FE5 vs HHR FE5
Cobalt FE5 vs HHR FE5
This is my first post to the forum so here goes :)
I am wanting to low my 2011 1LT HHR. I have seen several posts that say the FE5 with Eibach spring is the way to go and keep the ride quality. I have notched though that there are 2 FE5 kits. One for the cobalt and one for the HHR. Which one will be best. The cobalt seems to be less expensive. Suggestions?

Welcome to the forum zap-mann, I really like my Fe5 suspension, I bought and installed pedders on it and it was too bouncy.Took them out and sold them. The GM performance guy's got it right. You can expext 3/4" to 1" drop if you change to it. Find an SS and park next to it, to see.
I'm running around on FE5 09 cobalt SS/TC springs and cobalt FE5 shocks and struts. I personally like the FE3 springs off a cobalt SS/SC better, but they were to low for me to haul or tow anything.
I am looking for at Least 1" up front and at least 1.5" in the back. I will have a decent size stereo back there but not too bad. Ultimately will have SS HHR rims too as I have stock LT rims now. IF that makes N e difference.
So HHRfreak mentioned that the Eibach was smoother than the FE5. But what about the FE3? There are several combinations and I want to get the most drop yet maintain a smooth ride as well.
Cobalt FE5 Shocks and struts, HHR FE5 shocks and struts, Cobalt SS/SC springs, Cobalt SC/TC springs, Eibach springs, HHR SS Springs. Lots of combinations there.
