Cobalt springs both front and rear
So as most of us realize there is a huge price difference in Lowering kits between the HHR and Cobalt. There is talk all over this forum about using Cobalt SS Springs to "Level" the HHR's rear end. If you search HHR Lowering kit you get kits around 250.00 - 300.00. If you search Cobalt lowering kit you get results showing similar kits for 75.00! Are Cobalt springs and HHR springs the same? not specifically the SS versions. Say if I got a Cobalt lowering kit 1.9" drop both front and rear, would it work on the HHR? also would there be a larger drop on the rear? any help would be much appreciated.

Everywhere I look says that a generic lowering kit for cobalt is way cheaper. If I can use a cobalt lowering spring kit, it would be awesome. has anyone actually done this? all four non SS springs? They are on EBAY. I just searched Lowering spring cobalt....

Got sick of stock height, cant afford coilovers right now, figured id give it a shot.
$79 Lotek Cobalt Springs on Ebay, funny thing seller couldn't tell me the spring rates and said they were for a base model. Oh well whats $80 and 2 hours of a Saturday. Banged them on quick and was impressed! They certainly are squished and are just about on the front bumps, but with 60k on my stock fe5's these ride better than B&G springs and have the same height, body roll is less but if im hard in a corner and hit a bump it gets a little squirrely.
Overall- Im impressed for $80 and have a coilover low drop. Gotta avoid potholes for sure!!!!
