For what I needed (actually meaning "what I could afford") they worked ok. I wouldn't use them today tho', then again, might be worthy for at least a test.

and yup, one needed to use all the double nuts supplied to make them secure.

I dont think the rear cols would be close enough together for those..that are spaced quite a bit...unless of course one were to load down the rear first...Id be more worried about the
hardware contacting the other coils..

Ok I'll chime - I remember a 70 Javelin i had. MUST have 50's on the car. Used these things flipped to raise the springs high enough to run the tires. Yes memories.

When I was 18, I was looking at a Chevelle for sale that had wedge cut pieces of 2x4's hammered into the springs so that the quarters wouldn't hit the N-50/15's on 12" wide Cragars...

I don't know about ya'll but I miss those good ole days. Didn't have any money to buy those cool parts so had to figure out how to do them ourselves. Using a big oak tree limb, a chain, and a come-along to swap an engine... that North Georgia ground was cold in the winter! And when you get that hot rod all put together, throw a little rattle can chrome on the rear diff cover and you are ready to cruise! Man, those were some good times!

For some reason, around Detroit in the late 70's the thing to do was to paint the rear axlewhite, and the diff cover flourescent orange or green....

You also had to have all the speed equipment stickers in the rear quarter window- whether or not you actually HAD all that stuff on your car.....
