Decided to put new brakes on soon..
I ordered new Brake rotors and semi-metallic pads for the front of my 08 1LT Friday.
I decided to go with this site.

how many people on here have bought brakes from this site before?
any good or bad feedback?
I was happy to get good rotors and two rotors and all four pads for just under $200 and free ups shipping , it sounds like a decent deal.
All opinions and feedback is appreciated.

I would suspect they are a import house that sells lines made in Asia by independent MFG. I deal with these kinds of companies through my work. Some are good some are not it just depends on who they contract with on each order. The MFG may be the same or change with each order.
If installed properly odds are they may work fine.
I do note some real and false claims just on the rotor page alone. The heat dissapation is a not true for drilled rotors in fact it is the oppisite but most of the other claims are accurate like sweeping water and dust. I also note they do carry a warranty so at least they do show signs they will back up the product.
As for the pads it just depends on the qulaity of the material used. By reading the info you can't tell much good or bad. Just have to report to us how you like them.
The material quality is the key to most pads and what kind of fillers they use. If they load it up with cheap carbon, brass and metal it usally a low grade pad. Brake pad compounds have come a long way in the last 10 years and the lower the price the cheaper the material used. This usally effects heat trasfer out of the pad.
Thier graphs look nice but mean little. I would like to see them compared to know quality name brand brakes.
I hope they work out. At worse I suspect the worst thing you will see is may be less heat trasfer and less brake life compared to some other brands. Neither are a killer if you do not pay that much.

yea fact that there not a actual brand keeps me wondering
but i emailed them this morning and they emailed me back promptly when i asked about estimated delivery dates.

im not a real mechanic by no means, but ive owned many cars, and always done all my own maintenance to my cars so i have faith that i install them properly . a few years ago , i did buy EBC performance rotors and pads paid alot more and was very disappointed with the rotors, like u said the drilled dimples does not help with heat at all, i think it lead to more heat and lead to lesser life.

Don't want to get anyone upset-but buyer always must be aware. The site touts that "they are machined in the USA"-never mentions "cast in the USA" or "made with Canadian/US grade steel". I have mentioned asian grade steel rotors and drums on other posts..."vomited steel" if I remember correctly.
Also gotta love the backwards in forward gear wording from the site - " Users must satisfy themselves by meticulous testing as to the suitability of any particular grade of braking material with regard to performance, durability, and its suitability for their chosen class of racing." What did he say?

What ever you decide just be carefull-break the pads and rotors in gently-no hard stops for the first several hundred miles, etc... With normal driving I hope it works out for you.

Buyer beware you get what you pay for. At least most of the time.
EBC makes no claims on their dimpled rotors. The head of the company told me face to face he does not like them but people want them for looks and they make money. He will be the first to tell anyone the solid non dirilled rotors are the best you can buy. The holes just remove more metal to absorb heat.
